The key difference between this game and some recent games is that we WANTED to play. We came out, took a grip of the game from the start and remained on top in a devastating first half performance which saw goals from Edouard, Boyata and then Dembele. This was a traditional January “grinding out” of a win. We got there in the end, but it was a struggle. Indeed, the first half was one of the poorest 45 minutes that I can recall from a Celtic side for many years, and the penalty conceded was, frankly, unprofessional from a player of whom we expect a lot better.
