To a point, but only to a point, we can blame injuries and Kilmarnock’s artificial pitch for this defeat, but the fact was that this was a very poor Celtic performance, more or less totally unrecognisable from the game against Hearts on Tuesday night in which we had done so well. The key difference between this game and some recent games is that we WANTED to play. We came out, took a grip of the game from the start and remained on top in a devastating first half performance which saw goals from Edouard, Boyata and then Dembele.
