A special painting depicting the top 20 players in our history is being commissioned.

We have been asked to help in collating information and gathering  the supporters thoughts on who they think are the top 20 players in our history, obviously this survey will reach young and old amongst our support so hopefully we will gather a wide and fair perspective.

This will only take a couple of minutes of your time and will help in making sure that the paintings content is and will be an accurate account of the best in our history, chosen by you the fans.

Simply list your 20 players in no order either in the comment box below, Tweet to @cscaffiliation or by emailing to : contact@affiliationregisteredcelticsupporters.org before 6pm on Friday 19th October.

Were sure this will bring some debate and fun to households and Supporters Clubs far and wide, thanks in advance.

Difficult to leave so many superb players out.
I have gone for loyalty and personal sacrifice, goals and trophies won.
These 20 Celts played 9616 games and scored 2477 goals.
    They will do for me:

    Name/appearances/goals
    Jimmy Johnstone 515/129
    Jimmy McGrory 445/472
    Henke Larsson 221/174
    Bobby Murdoch 484/105
    Bobby Lennox 571/273
    Tommy Gemmell 418/64
    Danny McGrain 657/8

Just me that’s noticing the lack off names from the times Larsson was at the club ? He was a phenomenal player no doubting that but no players bigger than the team ,Sutton Hartson pertov balde all legends from that time in my eyes

Harry Hood was the last Celtic to score a hat trick on Rangers. How is he not on the list. 123 goals. He and Jimmy Johnstone should be on every list!!

I’ve been attending Celtic matches since the early 60s . There have been many Celtic great players during this period but these are the ones who stood out for me . Again , I can only comment on players I actually saw playing . Big Billy McNeill gets a special mention ; leader par excellence . Best five : Kenny Dalglish , Henrik Larsson , Bobby Murdoch , Jimmy Johnstone , Danny McGrain . Then… Lubo , Paul McStay , Charlie Nicholas , John Hughes ( 60s version ) , George Connelly , Harry Hood , John Collins , Aiden McGeady , David Hay , Joe McBride , Bobby Lennox and Keiran Tierney .
