This was a traditional January “grinding out” of a win. We got there in the end, but it was a struggle. Indeed, the first half was one of the poorest 45 minutes that I can recall from a Celtic side for many years, and the penalty conceded was, frankly, unprofessional from a player of whom we expect a lot better. A pleasant re-introduction after the Scottish Premiership’s winter holiday. I shall try to refrain from criticising this piece of nonsense again,other than to say that buying a player who then gets injured during this “holiday” does not seem to say much for it!
