I was delighted to see the players being clapped off the field for reaching 62 unbeaten Scottish games in a row, but no-one will say that this was one of our better performances. The one-sided nature of this game amazed me. I always thought that Celtic were better, but on the other hand, Aberdeen were not all that bad and was even reconciling myself to the thought that maybe a reverse tonight might not be the end of the world. It wasn’t the greatest performance of the season, but it was a competent win. Twice when we allowed a two goal lead to diminish to a one goal lead, I was worried, and one has to give Hibs some credit for their hard work, but in the end the 4-2 result was the right one and Celtic are now in their 32nd Scottish League Cup final.
